When was SNICKERS® introduced? When was SNICKERS® introduced?
SNICKERS® was first introduced to the public in 1930 and is now the number one selling candy bar
in the United States.
SNICKERS® is made of peanut butter nougat, topped with caramel and roasted peanuts and covered
with milk chocolate. The peanuts are crisp-textured special grade which have good flavor and keep well.
SNICKERS® is a global brand, however, in the U.S. they are made in Chicago, Illinois and Waco, Texas.
What are the ingredients in SNICKERS®?
SNICKERS® Bar ingredients: milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, lactose, skim milk, milkfat,
soy lecithin, artificial flavor), peanuts, corn syrup, sugar, skim milk, butter, milkfat, partially
hydrogenated soybean oil, lactose, salt, egg whites, artificial flavor.
Nougat is made by whipping egg whites until they are light and frothy. Sugar syrup is then added,
stabilizing the foam and creating "frappe". A number of other flavoring ingredients are then added
to the frappe; each ingredient creates a nougat with a different taste. These nougats are then ready
for use in the manufacture of specific brands as the filling in the bars, which is included in the
delicious SNICKERS® Bars.
Where does the name SNICKERS® come from?
SNICKERS® was named after the Mars family's favorite horse.
Where can I buy SNICKERS® branded merchandise?
There are currently no retail outlets where SNICKERS® branded merchandise is available.
Do you have public tours at your factories?
